The process
From your first message to your dog's first week home.
Complete the questionnaire and Raven or Chris will be in touch to arrange your free one-hour Dog Behaviour Assessment.
Step 1
Tell us about your dog
You complete the Client Questionnaire. It asks about your dog, your goals, and what daily life looks like now.
[CLIENT TO PROVIDE: how quickly questionnaires are reviewed and who responds.]
Step 2
The free Dog Behaviour Assessment
Chris meets you, your dog, and the relevant members of your family for one hour. He assesses what is taking place and offers ideas about how he may be able to help. It is free, and sometimes called an Evaluation — it's the same meeting.
[CLIENT TO PROVIDE: where the assessment happens and what to bring.]
Step 3
A program recommendation
Based on the dog and the owner in front of him, Chris recommends a way forward — individual lessons, a private lesson package, or a Board & Train tier.
[CLIENT TO PROVIDE: how a dog is matched to a Board & Train tier.]
Step 4
The work together
Lessons run one hour at a time, packages generally run weekly over six weeks, and Board & Train runs three weeks on the property with daily one-on-one training.
[CLIENT TO PROVIDE: scheduling, deposits and cancellation terms.]
Step 5
Going home
Board & Train includes a two-hour Go Home Lesson and two to four Follow-Up Lessons, unless the tier states otherwise. The Severe Behaviour Modification Program includes six follow-up private lessons.
[CLIENT TO PROVIDE: what the Go Home Lesson covers, in detail.]
Step 6
Continuing the foundation
K9 Basecamp builds the foundation; the owner continues the work at home. Returning clients whose dogs have completed a program can book Board & Review at $85/day + GST, with a training touch-up included.
[CLIENT TO PROVIDE: ongoing support options after follow-up lessons end.]
We build the foundation. The owner continues the work.
[CLIENT TO PROVIDE: final approval of this positioning line]
